Features of the Pool include:
- A large shade/sun deck where individuals can enjoy relaxing in the sun or gather with neighbors for a game of cards.
- An ample swimming pool with two designated lap lanes, high and low diving boards and an 11-foot slide.
- A zero depth area for toddlers featuring dumping buckets and and a toddler slide.
- A snack bar stocked with favorite Pool side treats for purchase.
- A large multipurpose room for pool parties and year round rentals.
- Two family changing rooms
- Free lockers (bring your own lock).
- Nine large shade structures.
Patrons are welcome to bring outside food into the swimming pool area.
Pools Hours
11:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. Daily when school is not in session.
When Shawnee Mission Schools are in session the pool will not be open Monday - Thursday. Hours of operation on Fridays will be 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Saturday-Sunday 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

The Pool is closed to public while hosting area swim meets at the facility. A schedule of these events is posted at the beginning of the summer season. On days when Fairway closes at 3pm to prepare for and host a swim meet, Fairway members may present their membership card at outdoor pools in Prairie Village, Merriam (outdoor only), Mission, Leawood, and Roeland Park (provided there is no swim meet at that location) and receive free access for the entire day.
Inclement Weather
The Fairway Pool will close if any of the following weather conditions exist:
· Pool staff detects thunder or lightening
· A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued for Johnson County, Kansas
· Pool staff determines unsafe weather conditions are likely
The Pool will remain closed for 30-minutes after the inclement weather has subsided. If inclement weather occurs after 6:00 p.m., the Pool will close for the evening.

In an effort to increase service to our citizens, the cities of Prairie Village, Leawood, Roeland Park, Mission and Fairway have come together to offer the NE JOCO Pool Super Pass! This unique opportunity will allow residents from each participating city the chance to visit other pools in the area throughout the upcoming summer! Super Pass holders may visit any outdoor pool of the participating Cities during their normal business hours.
